City of Trinidad Lake Regulations

A pass is required for usage:

  1. Good for one day use (daylight to sunset)
  2. Cost - $2.50 each to fish and $1.00 each for others (picnic, etc.) groups of ten (10) or more is $10.00
  3. Required of anyone 16 years and older
  4. May be purchased at Refuge General Store
  5. Valid fishing license and permit will be required of those who fish in City Lake
  6. Fishing from bank only
  7. Under 16 years must be accompanied by adult
  8. Violations of any rules and regulations may be grounds for suspension of fishing privileges and park usage

Restrictions:

  1. No consumption of alcohol or drug usage
  2. No swimming
  3. No boats, wade fishing, or use of tubes
  4. No trotlines, gill nets, or fish traps
  5. No camping or overnight stay
  6. Remove all trash......Leave only footprints
  7. No driving on levee
  8. Parking in designated area only
  9. No open campfires
  10. No recreational vehicles (4-wheelers, 3-wheelers, motorcycles, etc.)

Opening and Closing of Area:

  1. Gates open at sunrise..........close at sunset
  2. All vehicles left unattended after closing hours, will be towed at the owner's expense
  3. The City of Trinidad is not responsible for accidents
