Garbage Collection PDF Print E-mail

The City of Trinidad contracts with 3P Trash Service to collect garbage and recyclable materials. Garbage is collected once per week. On your trash day, simply move the cans to the street by 7:00 a.m. Please move your cart back off of the street after the trash has been collected.

All household garbage must be bagged and placed in garbage can.

If you have some trash that does not fit in your cart, 3P Trash will pick up bagged trash that is set out with the cart.

Green waste (leaves, pine needles, grass clippings, etc.) will be picked up on your regular trash day. If they will not fit in the cart, they can be bagged and tied together for quicker pick up.

3P Trash will also collect heavy trash that is too large to fit into your cart. Heavy trash includes old appliances, furniture, junk, tree limbs, etc.. Please note these special requirements:

  • Please notify City Hall in advance of Tuesday’s pick up if you have larger items such as couches, chairs, refrigerators, air conditioners, or TV’s.
  • Refrigerators and air conditioners must have the refrigerant removed (CFC or freon). 3P Trash is not permitted to dispose of these appliances unless they have been removed.
