The Mayor and City Council are committed to ensuring a safe, healthy environment for all staff and citizens. In an effort to support public health officials in preventing the spread of a contagious disease, the City of Trinidad has determined this is necessary to help prevent and respond to the pandemic. City Hall will continue to conduct city business either by phone, email or by other means.

Effective Friday, March 20, 2020 City Hall will be closed to public access for two weeks at which time it will be reevaluated. City Hall will still operate with the following guidelines for now.

WATER/SEWER CUSTOMERS

• Citizens and employees will be encouraged to communicate by phone (903) 778-2525 and email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).
• Water bill credit card payments can be made at (www.trinidadtexas.com).
• The drop slot located on the City Hall front door will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for any paperwork or payments that need to be made.
• For any water or sewer problems you will still be able to call

COURT

Monday night court or hearings will not be held for two weeks at which time it will be reevaluated. Payments for citations can still be made by phone (1-877-793-7971) or by website (www.trinidadcourt.com) or (www.trinidadtexas.com)

Any paperwork due to the court can be mailed, emailed ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or dropped off in the slot on the front door of City Hall, 212 Park Street, Trinidad, Texas.

POLICE DEPT.

The police department lobby will be closed to public access. If you need to speak with an Officer please call the non-emergency phone number that is listed on the door, and an officer will be more than happy to assist you.

Police officers will still respond to calls for service and use protective measures such as wearing latex gloves, keeping a 6-10 feet distance and washing or sanitizing hands after each contact. I am authorizing Officers to wear any personal protective equipment they feel they need during contact with the public. Proactive measures such as traffic enforcement, will be limited to unsafe driving that could possibly lead to a loss of life or damage to property.
