HOME Rehabilitation Assistance Program PDF Print E-mail

The City of Trinidad has received a HOME Program Housing Rehabilitation Assistance (HRA) grant from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the rehabilitation and/or reconstruction of single-family homes for low income homeowners. The assistance provided will be in the form of a 5-year, 10-year or 15-year deferred-forgivable grant, depending on the applicant's income level. Manufactured Homes are eligible to receive assistance and have additional requirements.
To be eligible for the program you must reside in the city limits of the City of Trinidad, own the home you are living in with a clear title to the property, be low income, live in a substandard home, be current on your property taxes, be willing to relocate during the demolition and reconstruction and be able to make your own arrangements to relocate.
Applications will be available beginning Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Trinidad city Hall located at 212 Park Street, Trinidad, Texas between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Applications must be completed and returned to City Hall. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first eligible basis depending on availability of funds. Incomplete applications are subject to disqualification. Persons with special needs, language interpretation needs, elderly or disabled individuals who may require accommodations should contact City Hall at 903-778-2525 to arrange for special assistance.
