CITY ORDINANCE VIOLATION PROCEDURES

STEP 1: INITIAL CONTACT

A. Property Identification
B. Photograph violation
C. Issue occupant's a notice providing fifteen (15) days to correct the violation

STEP 2: FAILURE TO COMPLOY WITH WRITTEN NOTICE

A. Photograph property
B. Issue property occupant a citation, giving occupant at least ten (10) days to appear in court

STEP 3: FAILURE TO COMPLOY WITH CITATION AND COURT

A. Issue the occupant's a written notice providing the occupant's seven (7) days to correct the violation
B. After seven (7) days, meet with City Administrator to schedule an appearance before the City Council to seek abatement of the property
C. After seven (7) days, request a court order for removal of inoperable vehicle's from the Judge , if applicable
D. Clean the property at the expense of the City, and have the cost of the clean-up attached to the occupant's utility bill

**NOTE**
Only one 15 day notice will be issued for each property in the city, and Citation will be the 1st step after one (1) notice is issued for an address.
